Abstract

âº MPTP triggers three phases of gene expression changes. âº Paraquat elicits expression changes of different genes to MPTP. âº Repeated exposure to MPTP leads to refractoriness of late but not acute mRNA changes. âº Pre-exposure to paraquat does not lead to transcriptional refractoriness to MPTP. âº DA depletion may underlie MPTP-induced transcriptional refractoriness.
