Abstract
⺠MPTP triggers three phases of gene expression changes. ⺠Paraquat elicits expression changes of different genes to MPTP. ⺠Repeated exposure to MPTP leads to refractoriness of late but not acute mRNA changes. ⺠Pre-exposure to paraquat does not lead to transcriptional refractoriness to MPTP. ⺠DA depletion may underlie MPTP-induced transcriptional refractoriness.
