Abstract
Oxaliplatin evokes a chronic painful peripheral sensory neuropathy in rat. â¶Oxaliplatin induces abnormal spontaneous discharge in A-fibers and C-fibers. â¶Oxaliplatin induces swelling and vacuolation in axonal mitochondria. â¶IENF degeneration is present without degeneration of peripheral nerve axons. â¶Oxaliplatin-induced effects are very similar to those induced by paclitaxel.
