Abstract
â¶5HT's role in peripheral TRPV1-evoked thermal hyperalgesia in the rat hind paw. â¶Examined changes in thermal sensitivity following peripheral serotonergic treatment. â¶5HT pretreatment enhances TRPV1-evoked thermal hyperalgesia in male and female rats. â¶Attenuated with peripheral pretreatment with ketanserin, graniestron, and sumatriptan. â¶In vivo evidence supporting reported enhancing role of 5HT on TRPV1 function in vitro.
