Abstract
â¶II-AVPNs were retrogradely labeled and functionally identified. â¶TRH caused a tonic excitatory inward current in II-AVPNs. â¶TRH significantly attenuated the phasic inspiratory outward currents of II-AVPNs. â¶The phasic inspiratory outward currents in II-AVPNs are mediated by glycine. â¶Under current clamp, TRH depolarized II-AVPNs and increased the firing rate.
