Abstract
â¶We evaluated the impact of dietary trans fatty acids (FA) and exercise on behavior and Na+K+-ATPase activity. â¶Rats exercised and fed n-6/n-3 polyunsaturated FA showed lesser anxiety. â¶Exercise improved the memory acquisition impaired by dietary saturated and trans FA, which were incorporated in brain membranes. â¶Na+K+-ATPase activity was reduced in brain of rats fed trans and saturated FA, as well as by exercise.
