Abstract
â¶Dopaminergic neurons display variable spike frequency adaptation patterns in slices. â¶Spike frequency adaptation is due to weaker initial afterhyperpolarization current. â¶Magnitude of spike frequency adaptation decreases during postnatal development. â¶Stronger adaptation is correlated with irregular spontaneous activity.
