Abstract
▶Regular and moderate exercise is considered an interesting neuroprotective strategy. ▶Neuroprotective properties of exercise could be related to histone modifications. ▶Exercise reduced HDAC and increased HAT activities in rat hippocampus. ▶Exercise appears to induce histone hyperacetylation. ▶The effects may be related to acetylation levels through HAT and HDAC activities.
