Abstract
â¶Chemotherapy drugs disrupt taste functions that complicate cancer treatment. â¶Cyclophosphamide is a DNA alkylating agent that targets normal and cancer cells. â¶Cyclophosphamide disrupted taste acuity and taste thresholds in two phases. â¶Drug-induced toxicity appeared to disrupt taste functions in the first phase. â¶Interruption of taste cell renewal cycle appeared to cause the second phase deficits.
