Abstract
â¶Synaptogyrin is expressed in GABAergic and cholinergic neurons in C. elegans. â¶GABA receptor antagonists increase cramping in synaptogyrin mutants. â¶GABAergic synaptogyrin deficiency is responsible for motility defects. â¶Synaptogyrin contributes to synaptic recruitment of synaptobrevin. â¶Synaptogyrin acts in a synaptotagmin-/endophilin-/synaptojanin-independent pathway.
