Abstract
â¶STZ-induced type-1 diabetic rats develop remarkable cognitive impairments 3 mon after diabetes onset. â¶STZ-induced type-1 diabetic rats show significant down-regulation of GFAP and NDRG2 in hippocampus 3 mon after diabetes onset. â¶Nine-day administration with RU486 ameliorates diabetic cognitive dysfunction. â¶Nine-day administration with RU486 reverses the expression of hippocampal GFAP and NDRG2 almost simultaneously.
