Abstract
â¶We compared brain anatomy and proliferative zones in three species of Austrolebias. Phylogenetically closer species showed more anatomical similarities. â¶Continuity of proliferative zones along the brain rostro-caudal axis was demonstrated. â¶Analog structures bear different proliferative rate related to the sensory modalities. Fast neurogenesis was found in all of proliferative zones analyzed.
