Abstract
▶We examine retinal ganglion cell neuroprotection with TGF-β1. ▶TGF-β1 maintains health of retinal ganglion cells. ▶TGF-β1 enhances neurite length and neuronal differentiation. ▶TGF-β1 effects these changes via phosphorylation of p38 MAPK.
