Abstract
▶We studied cerebral activations due to the trigeminal component of an odorant in fMRI. ▶We focused on the time course of activations depending on the duration of the odorant stimulation. ▶Caudate nucleus and orbito-frontal cortex are involved in short-duration stimulation. ▶Posterior insula, post-central gyrus (SI), middle cingulate gyrus are involved in long-duration stimulation.
