Abstract
â¶After UV irradiation, primary neurons increase collagen VI production. â¶Soluble collagen VI protects neurons against UV-induced apoptosis. â¶The collagen VI mediated protective mechanism is likely due the activation of Akt/PI3K signaling pathway. â¶A new ImageJ plug-in allows quick and unbiased measurements for neurite length and soma size.
