Abstract
â¶Increase of the endocannabinoid, 2-AG during the asymptomatic phase of prion disease. â¶Up-regulation of the expression of the CB2 receptor (mRNA and protein). â¶No alteration of the other endocannabinoid, anandamide, nor of CB1 receptor. â¶Occurrence endocannabinoid system changes concomitantly with prion formation.
