Abstract
▶Differences in relation to the respiratory cycle were specifically found for early ERP components. ▶ERP amplitudes were larger when stimuli were presented during inspiration. ▶ERP latencies were not affected by the respiratory cycle. ▶Intensity ratings of olfactory or trigeminal stimuli did not differ significantly in relation to the respiratory cycle.
