Protection by borneol on cortical neurons against oxygen-glucose deprivation/reperfusion: involvement of anti-oxidation and anti-inflammation through nuclear transcription factor κappaB signaling pathway

▶Borneol showed neuroprotection on cortical neurons against oxygen-glucose deprivation/reperfusion in vitro. ▶Borneol exerted anti-oxidation and anti-inflammation on cortical neurons against oxygen-glucose deprivation/reperfusion. ▶The inhibition of IκBα-NF-κB and the blockage of NF-κB p65 subunit translocation signaling pathway might play a significant role in the neuroprotection of borneol.
