Abstract
⺠Chronic unpredictable stressors elicited evident alterations of behaviours in rats. ⺠Chronic paeoniflorin treatment had an antidepressant-like effect in CUS rats. ⺠Paeoniflorin decreased serum corticosterone and ACTH levels in CUS rats. ⺠Paeoniflorin modulated serotonergic and noradrenergic systems in CUS rats.
