Abstract
⺠We examined the presence of Kv1.1 associated with zebrafish Mauthner cells. ⺠In situ hybridization indicates the presence of Kv1.1 mRNA in the hindbrain. ⺠Immunohistochemistry using anti-Kv1.1 positively labels Mauthner cells. ⺠Block of Kv1.1 alters the number of APs produced by the Mauthner cell. ⺠Kv1.1 is associated with Mauthner cells and may play a role in their activity.
