Abstract
⺠Mouse olfactory ensheathing cells and Schwann cells phagocytose E. coli. ⺠Human OECs phagocytose E. coli. ⺠Peripheral glia show little capacity to phagocytose Burkholderia thailandensis. ⺠The results have implications for using glial cells in neural repair therapies.
