Abstract
► The effect of immobilization stress (IS) on growth and stress response was examined. ► IS was performed in the early or late postnatal period of the rat. ► IS in the early postnatal period induced a reduction in body weight. ► IS in the early postnatal period induced a large stress response in the adulthood. ► IS in the late postnatal period had little effect on growth and stress response.
