Abstract
⺠miR-107 was down-regulated in glioma tissues and cell lines, particularly in p53-mutant U251 and A172 glioma cells. ⺠Transfection of wild-type p53 into glioma cells stimulate miR-107 expression. ⺠miR-107 inhibits cellular proliferation and arrests the cell cycle at the G0-G1 phase in glioma cells. ⺠miR-107 inhibits CDK6 and Notch-2 protein expression in glioma cells.
