Abstract
⺠Bv8 produces a direct and concentration-related release of CGRP. ⺠Bv8 pretreatment enhances Bv8- or capsaicin-stimulated CGRP release. ⺠Pretreatment with protein synthesis inhibitors blocks the late phase of Bv8-induced hyperalgesia. ⺠CGRP and SP are upregulated during the late phase of Bv8-induced hyperalgesia.
