Abstract
⺠Recent research indicates a role for BDNF in LTP and memory. ⺠We employed a single-trial passive avoidance learning task in the day-old chick. ⺠12.5 μg/mL BDNF injected after training lead to enhanced recall 24 h later. ⺠The same dose also enhanced recall when injected after a reminder trial. ⺠Thus, exogenous BDNF facilitates both consolidation and reconsolidation of memory.
