Abstract
► We screened drug compound library and identified Mefloquine, an anti-malarial drug as an autophagy inducer. ► Suppression of autophagy increased Mefloquine-mediated neurotoxicity. ► Thus, modulation of autophagy may help to efficiently regulate the neurological side effects of Mefloquine.
