Abstract
⺠ERG is related to seizure activity and cause of sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP). ⺠ERG immunoreactivity in the hippocampus of SS gerbils was similar to that of SR gerbils. ⺠AEDs reduce the expression of ERG channel in the hippocampus of the SR and SS gerbils. ⺠AEDs enhanced paired-pulse inhibition in the hippocampus of the SR and SS gerbils. ⺠Influence of AEDs on ERG expression in the brain may not be relevant to SUDEP.
