Abstract
► Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) inhibited regenerative axon growth in dorsal root ganglia cultures. ► MWCNT exposure decreased axon length and axon branching, without cell death. ► MWNCTs may have detrimental effect on regenerative axon growth and may potentially trigger axonal pathology.
