Abstract
⺠PDE3B pathway plays an important role in mediating hypothalamic action of leptin. ⺠This study shows expression of PDE3B in POMC and NPY neurons in the hypothalamus. ⺠PDE3B is also expressed in the hypothalamic nuclei implicated in energy homeostasis. ⺠Direct PDE3B signaling appears to mediate leptin action in POMC and NPY neurons.
