Abstract
⺠The P200 waveform in ERP studies is relative to a syllable frequency effect. ⺠Syllables are comprised of phonologically and orthographically defined syllable. ⺠The P200 waveform is only sensitive to the modulation of phonologically defined syllable frequency in go/no-go lexical decision task. ⺠Phonological and orthographic syllables are processed differently during the early stage of visual word recognition process.
