Abstract
► The effect of measles virus (MV) infection on neuronal Ca2+ signals was investigated. Voltage-gated Ca2+ channel (VGCC) currents were reduced during MV-infection. ► In contrasts, DHPG-induced glutamate receptor (mGluR) responses were increased. ► The differential regulation of VGCCs and mGluRs may affect MV-induced encephalitis.
