Abstract
⺠Ceramides are increased in Parkinson's disease. ⺠CERT is the only known protein with the ability to shuttle ceramide. ⺠The loss of function in the Parkinsonian rat model it does not involve changes in CERT levels. ⺠Our work is the first study analysing the levels of the transporter of ceramide in acute neurodegeneration.
