Abstract
⺠We tested Chinese herbal medicine fuzhisan (FZS) in patients with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease. ⺠Positron emission tomography (PET) scan revealed an increased or stabilized cerebral glucose metabolism in FZS-treated patients. ⺠Neuropsychological tests showed that FZS had a positive effect on cognition and behavioral function.
