Abstract
⺠We have examined brain MRI in a multiple microembolic model of macaque monkey. ⺠Both cortical and internal watershed infarcts were generated in the acute phase. ⺠Brain atrophy with microbleeds was induced in the chronic phase. ⺠Embolism may contribute to the genesis of the two types of watershed infarcts.
