► CCL2 produces spinal hyperalgesia in mice. ► CCR2, AMPA and NMDA receptor antagonists inhibit it. ► Astroglia and microglia activation seems involved. ► IL-1ra partially avoids it. ► IL-1β hyperalgesia depends only on NMDA but not AMPA receptors.
