Abstract
⺠We report A/I RNA editing at a single site in intron 7 of EAAT2 pre-mRNA. ⺠More editing in spinal cord and motor cortex from ALS patients. ⺠Editing site in a strong stem-loop opposite two overlapping polyadenylation signals. ⺠Editing and polyadenylation strongly correlated in motor cortex and cell culture. ⺠Editing predicted to release polyadenylation signals from the stem-loop.
