Abstract
⺠Previously uncharacterized N-acylethanolamines effective in rat model for stroke. ⺠Linoleoylethanolamide reduces lesion size after middle cerebral artery occlusion. ⺠Lauroylethanolamide and linoleoylethanolamide improve functional outcome after stroke. ⺠N-acylethanolamines are promising neuroprotectants for stroke therapy.
