Abstract
⺠Copper-treatment increases the specific GSH content in cultured astrocytes. ⺠A sevenfold elevated copper content does not cause oxidative stress. ⺠Accelerated GSH export is a consequence of the elevated cellular GSH in copper-treated astrocytes. ⺠Mrp1 mediates the GSH export from copper-treated astrocytes. ⺠GSH export from astrocytes depends strongly on the temperature.
