Abstract
⺠Adding shelter to a home cage increases longevity and reduces wounds in BALB males. ⺠Shelter alone has very different effects on BALB males than shelter + running wheel. ⺠Shelter in the home cage has limited effects on behavioral testing of BALB/cJ mice. ⺠BALB/cJ males showed more effects of home cage enrichment than BALB/cJ females.
