Abstract
ⶠAACS mRNA level was reduced by leptin deficiency in the arcuate nucleus and ventromedial hypothalamic nucleus in hypothalamus but not in other brain regions. ⶠAACS mRNA level was increased by leptin treatment in cultured neural cells. ⶠAACS level was suppressed by AMPK inducer, but induced by AMPK inhibitor.
