Abstract
► Oxybuprocaine has more potent cutaneous analgesia than bupivacaine or dextrorphan. ► Clonidine improves sensory block of oxybuprocaine, bupivacaine or dextrorphan. ► Clonidine enhances duration of action by oxybuprocaine, bupivacaine, and dextrorphan. ► The addition of clonidine to bupivacaine elicits the most effective cutaneous analgesia.
