Abstract
â¶ Pseudowords orthographically similar to color words generated behavioral Stroop effects. â¶ Incongruent pseudowords orthographically similar to color words elicited an N450 in the ERP data. â¶ Participants distinguished pseudowords from color words well in a visual judgment task. â¶ Pseudowords orthographically similar to color words can activate the meaning of color words. â¶ Orthography plays an important role in activating meaning of Chinese single-character words.
