▶ Flunarizine efficiently blocked INa and ICa in cultured rat cortical neurons. ▶ Flunarizine bound to its receptor site better at more depolarizing potentials. ▶Flunarizine bound to open Na+ channels to promote their rapid closing. ▶ Flunarizine favored the inactivation of INa. ▶ Flunarizine delayed the recovery from Na+ channel fast inactivation.
