Abstract
ⶠThe zebrafish uses a similar repertoire of genes to mammals to build a nervous system. ⶠOver half of the 24,000 zebrafish genes have been analyzed by expression pattern. ⶠZebrafish are highly amenable to large-scale genetic manipulation. ⶠZebrafish embryos and larvae are now used for automated high throughput drug screens.
