Abstract
► Auditory steady state response is elicited by amplitude-modulated serial short tones. ► The response is not adapted to adjacent tones of close and distant frequencies. ► The amplitude is proportional to the sound pressure when it is changed with frequency. ► The low adaptation relies on the cortical source located in the primary area.
