Abstract
⺠Concurrent sound segregation and perception decline with age. ⺠This age difference in concurrent sound segregation may be duration dependent. ⺠Participants were presented with single (tune) or dual (mistuned) sound objects. ⺠Age differences were greater for short than long duration sound. ⺠Older adults need more time to separate concurrent sounds than young adults.
