Abstract
► Concurrent sound segregation and perception decline with age. ► This age difference in concurrent sound segregation may be duration dependent. ► Participants were presented with single (tune) or dual (mistuned) sound objects. ► Age differences were greater for short than long duration sound. ► Older adults need more time to separate concurrent sounds than young adults.
