Relations between perceptual measures of temporal processing, auditory-evoked brainstem responses and speech intelligibility in noise

► Approach: Homogeneous group of listeners in terms of audibility in order to study relations between other basic functions (like temporal processing) and speech reception. ► Investigation of temporal deficits at low frequencies where audibility is close to normal. ► Investigation of individual normal-hearing and hearing-impaired listeners using perceptual and electrophysiological measures. ► This study provides constraints for models of speech perception and auditory signal processing.
