Abstract
⺠Humans learn to localise sounds. ⺠Plugging one ear immediately disrupts localisation. ⺠Localisation gradually improves following earplugging. ⺠Removing the plug leads to immediate restoration of localisation. ⺠Learning to localise involves at least two distinct mechanisms.
