Abstract
⺠The macular VsEP is triggered and controlled by kinematic jerk levels in mammals. ⺠VsEP amplitudes and latencies are virtually independent of peak acceleration. ⺠Candidate neural generators are irregularly-firing macular primary afferents. ⺠Findings provide the basis for standardizing stimulus levels across laboratories.
