Abstract
► We investigate the effect of temporal regularity on stream segregation. ► We use a new stimulus consisting of concurrent, temporally uncorrelated tone sequences. ► We measure listeners' ability to attend to one of the streams in the presence of the other. ► Segregation is facilitated when the distracter sequence is temporally regular. ► The effect of regularity as segregation cue is limited to fast rates and small frequency separations.
