Abstract
In this work, an aromatics-degrading strain, Pseudomonas putida, was employed for bioremediation of four PBDE congeners (BDE47, 15, 3 and diphenyl ether (DE)) and the cometabolism of PBDEs was illustrated via kinetics analysis and metabolic mechanism. PBDEs degradation and cell growth kinetics were discussed and the interactions between PBDEs and the extra co-substrates were also investigated. Furthermore, the degradation pathways of PBDEs by P. putida were explored as well.
